What exactly is Beyond Wash?
A lab-tested herbal spray for fruits and vegetables. The pack calls it a herbal neutralisation formulation spray: aloe vera, tulsi ark, ajma ark and three culinary salts in water, misted on to the surface of produce to reduce pesticide residue and dirt. In independent lab tests on mango and onion, total detected pesticide residue fell by over 99%. It is not soap, not a medicine, and not something you add to food.
How do I use it?
Four steps, exactly as printed on the pack. One, wash your fruit or vegetable with clean water. Two, spray the entire surface from a distance of 12 inches. Three, wait 60 seconds and do not touch. Four, your food is ready to eat, cook or store. For produce eaten raw, like salads and fruit, we recommend a final rinse under running water.
Do I have to rinse the produce again after spraying?
The pack says your produce is ready to eat, cook or store after the 60-second wait. For anything eaten raw, a quick final rinse under running water is a sensible extra, and we recommend it. For produce going straight into the kadhai or pressure cooker, it is up to you.
Will it leave a taste, a smell or a slippery film?
It should not. The formulation is mostly water, with small quantities of aloe vera, tulsi, ajma and edible salts, and one millilitre covers up to three kilograms of produce. In a lab shelf-life study, sprayed tomatoes scored 5 out of 5 for taste, odour and colour. If your produce tastes different afterwards, stop using it and call us on +91 95377 66696.
Can I use it on methi, palak, coriander and berries?
Yes. Separate the bunch and wash it with clean water first, which matters more in the monsoon when methi arrives with mud pressed into the stems. Spread leaves or berries in one layer, spray from 12 inches so the mist reaches both sides, turning the bunch if needed, and wait the full 60 seconds.
Can I use it on chicken, fish, eggs or pet food?
No. Beyond Wash is made for the outer surface of fruits and vegetables only. Meat, fish, eggs, dairy and pet food are different surfaces with different handling rules, and this spray was not formulated for them.
How long does one bottle last, and how should I store it?
One millilitre treats up to three kilograms of produce. For a family of four, using about 500 g of produce per person per day, the 30 mL lasts about 1.5 months, the 50 mL about 2.5 months and the Family Pack about 5 months. Store the bottle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and away from children, with the cap closed between uses.

Does Beyond Wash actually reduce pesticides?
In independent lab tests on mango and onion, with 72 pesticides screened, total detected pesticide residue fell by over 99% after spraying. The unwashed mango carried 3 pesticides above FSSAI limits; after spraying, none. Each result applies to the samples tested. Full tables are on our Lab Results page.

The pack says "up to 90%". Your lab results say over 99%. Which is right?
Both. "Up to 90%*" is the manufacturer's original claim printed on the pack. The over-99% figure comes from later independent lab tests on mango and onion. Real results depend on the produce, the residue load and how well you spray, so treat the lab figure as what was measured on those samples, not a promise for every vegetable.
Does it help produce stay fresh?
In a lab shelf-life study, sprayed tomatoes stayed acceptable for 10 days at room temperature, while unsprayed tomatoes grew visible mould by day 10.
Does it remove nutrients?
No. In tests by an independent NABL-accredited lab on pomegranate, vitamin C, fibre and potassium were essentially unchanged after spraying.
Is it a disinfectant or a sanitiser?
No. Beyond Wash is a herbal neutralisation formulation for surface residues on produce. It is not a disinfectant or a sanitiser, and we make no claim about bacteria or viruses.
I buy organic. Do I still need this?
Organic tells you how something was grown. It says nothing about what happened afterwards. Between the field and your kitchen there is a mandi, a truck, a crate, several pairs of hands and a shop counter. Dust, handling marks and surface residue are part of that journey whatever the farming method was.

What is in the bottle?
Every 10 mL contains aloe vera 1.0 mL, tulsi ark 0.5 mL, ajma ark 0.3 mL, samundra lavan 0.7 mL, sindha namak 0.4 mL, sanchal 0.3 mL and water 6.8 mL. No detergents, chlorine, bleach, added colour or synthetic fragrance.
Is it safe to use on food my children eat?
It is used on the surface of fruits and vegetables in very small quantities, made from food-grade herbs, salts and water. For produce eaten raw, a final rinse is recommended. Two rules from the pack hold firmly: the bottle is not for drinking, and it must be kept away from children. Keep it on a high shelf, not next to the fruit basket.
What if a child swallows some, or it gets into the eyes?
See a doctor straight away and take the pack with you so they can read the composition. Then call us on +91 95377 66696, Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm IST. We cannot give medical guidance from a web page. Storing the bottle out of reach is what keeps this from coming up at all.
Is it vegan, and do you test on animals?
The composition is aloe vera, tulsi ark, ajma ark, three edible salts and water. For a confirmed answer on vegan status and animal testing, write to care@beyondwash.in and the team will answer you directly.
I am pregnant. Can I use it?
We do not make health claims. It is a herbal formulation of plant extracts, edible salts and water, sprayed on the surface of produce, and not for drinking. If you have a specific concern during pregnancy, ask your doctor and show them the composition on the pack.
Is Beyond Wash Ayurvedic?
It is made from ingredients familiar from Ayurvedic tradition: tulsi, ajwain, aloe vera and three traditional salts. It is sold as a food-safe produce wash under FSSAI, not as a medicine.

My bottle arrived damaged or leaking. What should I do?
Photograph the bottle, the outer packing and the label before cleaning up. Send the pictures with your order number to care@beyondwash.in or WhatsApp +91 95377 66696 within 7 days of delivery, and we will replace it. Return shipping is on us.
What is the replacement window?
